I have great admiration for birds and their abilities and their beauty so to celebrate this I'm producing a series of paintings featuring birds. I decided to make this an autumn theme using bright greens and oranges to indicate the autumn foliage along the river with the swans and coots appearing as simple shapes contrasting this mass of bright colours. For some reason watching birds grooming themselves in the water is very calming and I hope to evoke feelings of tranquility and calm with this painting. A perfect gift for any bird and nature enthusiast.
