I have been painting scenes from Aldeburgh Beach on the Suffolk Coast of England numerous times. This one I painted from photo references as well as my original small sketch done on location many years ago. My focus was the blue fishing boat so I left the distant buildings as simple as possible as they have a lot of detail and clutter around them. Just enough detail was added to make this recognisable and if you have been to this coast you will certainly recognise the row of houses and the coast itself which is one of my favourite coasts around England.
I used a rough Bockingford paper. Size: 16 x 12 inches. Year: 2023.
