Watercolour painting of california poppies in a blue shiny flower pot by a brick fence. I saw this beautiful blue flower pot in the village of Selborne in Hampshire in England. It was empty and next to it where an area covered with these vibrant orange coloured california poppies. I combined the two elements by placing the poppies in the flower pot as I liked the contrast of the two colours of blue and orange.
