I photographed this beautiful orangey pink rose on my walk in the Rose Garden in Regent's Park during the summer months. This is my favourite rose colour although I'm not sure about the name of this rose. I could see so many colours in the leaves and petals so I started with a wash in rainbow colours. I then masked out areas of the leaves before adding a darker wash for the background. This created a very interesting effect.
Painted onto Arches 300gm watercolour paper. Size: 38 x 28 cm. Year: 2023.
