My latest painting of the impressive Punta del Papagayo beach on the island of Lanzarote, Canary Islands. The famous beach is just behind the headland and a lot more busy. I preferred the view from the other side as it looked so desolate and peaceful with the large rocky feature reflecting in the wet sand. My previous version which was a bit more colourful has sold. I think in this one I managed to capture the sky perfectly with that distinctive desert sand in the atmosphere that makes the scene even more secluded and mysterious.
