Watercolour painting of a leopard blending into its surroundings in the daytime after a successful night of hunt. Painted from a photograph that I took in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia in 2015. I haven't included the half-eaten impala which this big cat was guarding at the time. My focus was to capture the shy, reclusive nature of this beautiful creature which is often hard to spot in the daytime in the African bush.
