Minehead in Somerset, is another one of the beautiful coastal harbour towns in the UK. Its name derived from the Welsh 'mynydd' meaning hill or mountain. I painted this after a photo taken on my way home during the afternoon as the storm was approaching with this beautiful light illuminating the wet sand and water around this famous headland. I kept the buildings suggestive as they only appear as specks of colours on the hills from the distance.
