Watercolour landscape garden painting. Painted from a photo I took of the pergola in Birdland Park and Gardens which is located in Bourton-on-the-Water in the Cotswolds many years ago. My main focus was to capture the light and shadows as well as the contrast of the geometric lines of the wooden structure and the irregular shapes of the plants. The purple/pink flowers are actually clematis which breaks up the golden greens perfectly.
