My latest bird painting from a photo taken in Malawi. This African kingfisher is less colourful than some other ones in other parts of the world but equally eye-catching. Very hard to spot them, I'm lucky to have received this photo from a friend and use it as reference. I added only a wash for the background as my main focus was the little bird. Perfect little gift for any bird-watcher, bird-lover perhaps as birthday, retirement or graduation gift. Something that will last for decades.
