This is a small watercolour sketch of a little donkey looking all sad. I photographed these donkeys in the Cotswolds Wildlife Park in England some years ago. They were all resting, some on the ground and this little one was standing looking a bit sad. I remembered the song ' Mi burrito sabanero' which is a Spanish Christmas song and then I thought I'll paint a burrito or little donkey. Then I remembered that I have these photos, which seemed just the perfect reference for the sketch.
This is a small watercolour measuring 18 x 24 cms. This painting is now sold. Prints are still available.
