Watercolour painting of Dutch irises in an impressionistic, loose style with a textured background. These irises grow in ponds or near lakes and water. Their delicate petals appear as irregular shapes that create a nice contrast with their surroundings, usually greens. Here I added a earthy coloured, textured background to bring out the sunlit flowers that appear rather cheerful.
