Marienplatz is the Central Square in the city of Munich, Germany with its dominating buildings of the New and Old City Hall or Rathaus in german. As the buildings are so detailed, I kept the painting simple by focusing on the shapes mainly and only indicating windows and other details. The slightly hazy appearance also makes the architecture even more monumental. The typical scene of this city as the visiting crowds stand around the central square marvelling at the surrounding architectural wonders.
