12x16 in ~ Painting, Watercolor
My latest watercolour landscape featuring Morston Church in North Norfolk, made famous by the works of Edward Wesson who has inspired me to paint it in my own expressive style. Although looks simple, it's quite a tricky scene as the wall and the road breaks the view of the church and yard. The building itself has suffered damage and as shown has been rebuilt with different coloured bricks. I used thick payne's grey to draw in the darks with a brush, then brushed over this with very diluted raw sienna mixed with red which then softened the darks. I worked from a photo which was taken on an overcast day in June. Please also check out the video for closer details. Last image is for illustration purposes only. Framed prints available in my print-on-demand websites in Redbubble and Fine Art America.
