Watercolour painting of boats on the North Norfolk coast near Wells-next-the-Sea. This was some years ago in June when I took a long walk along this pleasant coastline. Painted from a reference photo I took. This particular coastline is one of my favourite, no wonder so many artists of the past had chosen to paint in the area. Although the flat landscape looks simple, it is quite challenging to depict it in a way that it pleases the eyes of the viewer. This is why I turned this image taken on an overcast day into a sunset painting.
