I visited Grasmere village in the English Lake District many years ago during the end of October when the landscape is spectacular as the foliage turns into vibrant colours. I accidentally found the entrance to the Wordsworth Daffodil Garden which looked very inviting with the brightly coloured maple foliage just behind the gates. Almost a dreamlike scene and a favourite subject. I have finally got there to paint this scene from my reference photos I took that rainy day and this is the result.
