Watercolour painting of pink patterned orchids cascading down in an expressionistic style. I started off with the rainbow-coloured subtle background using very diluted golden yellow, turquoise blue and bright pink. I tried to paint the flowers quite accurately with their distinctive patterns on the flower petals. Painted from reference photos taken at the Orchid Festival 2022 in Kew Gardens in London. Perfect handmade gift for Mother's Day, birthdays, anniversary, retirement or just to bring a bit of happiness into the home with such vibrant colours.
