I've recently got interested in lighthouses along Britain's Coast. I'm fascinated by these structures, how there were built and their history. Also, whether or not they're still working lighthouses. My first stop is the Needles Lighthouse on the beautiful Isle of Wight, a well-known structure at the end of the sharp rock formations called the Needles. Its size only becomes evident once you get close to it on the boat. The bashing waves around their base is a constant reminder of the unpredictable and powerful nature of the seas. They are life saving structures for shipmen who seek guidance during rough seas from these giants.
This realistic seascape celebrates the beauty and importance of these coastal engineering marvels.
