I enjoyed drawing animals even in my childhood and my very first drawing was penguins in the arctic landscape which I found in my biology book, then came more elaborate animal drawings including our dog. During my art studies I used to visit zoos to draw all the exotic and colourful creatures. My African wildlife paintings were painted during my travels in Southern Africa and on my return between 2015-17. I got inspired not only by the animals in their natural habitat around me but also by the1 I enjoyed drawing animals even in my childhood and my very first drawing was penguins in the arctic landscape which I found in my biology book, then came more elaborate animal drawings including our dog. During my art studies I used to visit zoos to draw all the exotic and colourful creatures. My African wildlife paintings were painted during my travels in Southern Africa and on my return between 2015-17. I got inspired not only by the animals in their natural habitat around me but also by the masterful wildlife paintings of local Malawian artist, David Kelly. My wildlife paintings are quite realistic and illustrative, often displaying a typical behaviour of a certain specie.
